For any new players here is how it works. click the mlb link above and sign up for the Beat the Streak. In it you pick a hitter each day from any team to get a hit. start a hitting streak and beat the longest streak of our pool members to receive that amount of money of your streak*. for example mike sica last year was the first to get a streak over 5, he got a 7 game hitting streak, and was awarded $7 from each member. next, Joe Grimaldi got a 8 game hitting streak and was awarded $8 from each member. click here to see last years winners.

Additionally the mlb website pays $5.6 million dollars to anyone who beats Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak. We have a deal with pool members that if anyone wins the 5.6 million, they will give fellow members $10,000 each, so we all have more chances.

In this version of the mlb.com pool, we have a side bet going on between our group, The Second Chance Inn.
So far the first streak was by Michael Sica who had a seven game hitting streak. therefore everyone who was in the pool when that streak started owes Mikey $7 each. Next Joe G. got up to 8 games. Next was Brian with 9. Then Timmy with 11. Whoever beats his streak will get paid the dollar amount of the length of the streak from each member of our group who was in the group at the start of the streak.
