Welcome Home, Friends and Family
After a two year search for a beautiful vacation home the Sica's and Ryan's brought a house just steps away from the Caribbean Sea, in Rincon Puerto Rico.  Rincon is on the west coast of the island and is known for its great surfing conditions.  Because of this, the town has attracted surfers from up and down the east coast of the United States who have settled there over the past 40 years.
The house is a four bedroom with two and a half baths.  It has six full sized beds.  It is only one hundred yards from the beach.  The beach in front of the house is popular for snorkeling where there are coral reefs and a multitude of colorful fish, turtles, even dolphins and whales.  There is also kayaking, fishing, parasailing, scuba diving, surfing, horseback riding, sailing, and stand up paddle boarding, as well as other activities all within a few miles of the house.  Two bar/restaurants are within walking distance, Shipwrecks and the Harbor Restaurant.  Many other Tiki Bars and restaurants are within a five minute drive.
Although the house was move in ready, it was lacking a little color.  Its beige walls didn't have that beachfront feel that it deserved.  Mary Ryan picked out some nice pastel Caribbean colors, and with the help of Bob the Dude, Mary, Rita, and John Ryan transformed the first floor into a tropical home.
The house has a large side patio area that is beautifully landscaped with tropical plants.  It has benches, tables and chairs, and it also has a view of the ocean.  In the picture bottom left you can see the staircase that takes you to the second floor patio which has the most spectacular ocean views.
As you can see this second floor deck has a great view of the Caribbean Sea.  Eventually some of the view will be obscured as they build some new condo's on the property in front of us, but we have been assured that they will only be built down the left side of our deck.  A pool and parking lot for condo residents will be part of the future construction as well.
This is looking back towards the house.  That umbrella blew away the second day there.  Rita, John Ryan and Mary were driving two miles away when they saw the umbrella flying along the beach.  They made a joke about it was ours and when they got home they found out the joke was on us.  Below is a champagne toast to our new home, as made by John Ryan.

Bob had a great time and vows to be back.  We worked him hard, installing new locks, painting, changing blowouts that John Sica got driving off the road.  Things like that, that he is used to.
